When defending....

By TheDarkPilot, in X-Wing Rules Questions

if i understood correctly....

and please help me here...

Situation is as follows:

1 TIE with TL on the X-Wing he attacks but the X-Wing also has TL on the TIE. Range 1

Tie rolls 3 hits....

THE DEFENDER goes first to modify the roll of the attack before the attacker can.

That being said... if i have a R7 unit i can make him reroll all his attack dice and HE CAN NOT reroll any even if he has a target lock on me as well.. is that correct?

I read the rules a couple of times but it is a lack of understanding and not being native english speaking.

Thanks

Once an attack die has been re-rolled once it can NOT be re-rolled a second time. TIE shoots R7 equiped X-Wing the X can spend it's TL to make the TIE re-roll dice after which the TIE's TL could be used on any remaining unrolled dice.

You can't reroll any die more than once. So an X-Wing with R7 could take the attacker's re-roll option away completely if you make him re-roll the lot.

But it would ofcource be better to just reroll hits and crits as any blanks (or eyes if he has no focus token) will make him spend the targetlock. No use leting him keep that by rerolling the dice he would want rerolled any way.
