How would you fly a squad like this anyway?

Does the increase in movement offset the cost of 1 more tie and putting the boost into a single howlrunner?

Try both and use the squad that you like more, greettings.

It can work. Right now it will eat Falcon lists and rebel swarms pretty well(although it's pretty fragile) It will suffer some against Phantoms though. Looks like fun. I'll never have enough predators to run it though.

I normally look at it with one less BSP trading the 17 and 15 pointers for Backstabber (just get an extra die) and Dark Curse.

I'd fly the six TIEs as three pairs that can quickly come to each other's aid.

I've seen that list posted enough someone most likely has some play results. I'm curious how it compares against the high PS six ship TIE swarms. In those Howlrunner leads a group that basically all can shoot before then one does.

Oh, I know. You mistook me. I'm actually a huge fan of it. At least, BSP and Predator. Though, I'm not sure I'd want to run a whole swarm of them. If I were you, I'd maybe cut one or two in favor of a tough and potent flanker. A named Interceptor or, if you don't care much about PS or abilities, a cheaper Defender.

Also, the earlier comment was a bit of cheek over the fact that I posted about it close to a week ago, and... well… I won't get into it here.

Very useful. You lose a fighter, but you no longer have to worry about staying close to or protecting Howlrunner and you utterly destroy PS1 and PS2 units. The only real downside to a regular swarm is that you have to buy 5 TIE Defenders to get all the copies of Predator you need.

It doesn't come in the E-Wing too? Or am I thinking of Outmaneuver...

You're thinking of Outmaneuver. So, unless you want to run some crazy mass Defender-with-HLC squadron in Epic Play, you either have to wait for Predator to be released somewhere else or fork out cash on fighters you'll probably never use.
