Although I do play Rebels from time to time, being honest my faction is Imperial. I'm too addicted to barrel rolls.

I love both, but find myself flying imperials more often, and as a consequence, it appears that I know more about their possible combos and abilities, too.

I'm a Rebel player through and through. I've always had a fondness for X-wings and Y-wings since I was a young child.

Started by buying both sides, still do so now. I play both sides, usually switching with each game. If I have to choose a side, it will be the Rebellion.

I do not support any terrorist organization nor do I fail to see through thier propoganda. Do not believe them! The Scum will cloud your mind if you let them. I believe the true power of the empire has finally been shown and those last little hold outs are clearly defecting back to us. Also, never trust anyone who says they play both sides and that is ok... Slippery slope my friend! Slippery slope... You're just a rebel {scum} in the making or trying to get others to accept your choices. That's like saying you're a vegetarian while eating bacon!

There are no halfsies(unless you are making uglies! Then both sides hate you!).

I play both. I like the rebels because their ships have the most scope for repainting and customisation, which you would expect from a ragtag axis power with limited resources.

But when I was a tiny, squeaky boy my Action Fleet TIE Interceptor was my favourite toy in the world, and the TIE Defender has always been my favourite ship. My friends and I would always play games where we were Imperial pilots, and we all imagined that one day we would grow up to make books and films where the villains would always win, because their stuff was cooler and evil is awesome. So yeah, playing Empire in this game has reawoken all of that.

After seeing your sig, we have the exact same fleet, only I have yet to get my wave 4 stuff.

My heart always be Imperial, so I have more Imperial ships, but in games I could use both factions, and in tournaments I prefer to use Rebels, are more powerful, greettings.

But the truth is, imperial ships seem so much more fun to fly and are more my style.

Firespays, shuttles, ints, phantoms and defenders are just wayyyyy too **** cool not to fly.

A fricken suicidal space cow? Sold! A ship that fires behind itself? Sold! Glorious white k turns? Sold! Now you see me, now you don't? Sold!

Rebels are fun because of the synergies between the varies pilots. But the empire ships themselves are more fun to fly.

Rebels. Because flying pie-plates and daggers is where it's at.

As a Star Wars fan, I consider this more than just a game but very collectable to showcase the detailed models. I do prefer playing imperials for their more military look and who doesn't like ruling the galaxy. Occasionally I'll take the Rebs out because it is good to know the strengths and weaknesses of both sides.

I fly for truth, justice, and the American way.

That is why I fly for the Rebellion.

Seriously, in my honest opinion, there is nothing cooler than the X-wing. I have loved it ever since I saw the movies for the first time as a kid and it has remained my favorite ship throughout every game, book, movie, and comic.

The Empire.

Mostly because the person I started playing the game with refused to play the Empire, so I was stuck with them. After playing - and winning - several games I started to enjoy them more and more. I'm playing against a few other people now as the game is catching on here, so I'm not tied to the Empire, but I still like it and use it as my first choice.

I only wish they would come out with more mercenary/bounty hunter ships, because THEY would be the faction of my choice. I absolutely love the Firespray.

I am 100%Imperial, unless I am flying Rebels, then those imps gotta die. I change allegiance about every other game, though I had an extended tryst with the interceptors after getting my aces pack. However last night I got my Barrel Roll fix off a coupla E-wings. Mmmmmm brain candy that stuff is.

Agility, tactics, maneuvering over tanking. So Imperial preferred. That said with the newer waves the line gets a bit muddled.

Imperials. Because good is dumb.

Rebel, 'cause Imps ain't got the HWK!

I play X-wing Miniatures, which means I pick a list depending on what I feel like playing at the time; the factions are a convenient way to organize my ships, but that's it.

While I understand this (and for the most part agree) I would think that there has to be a certain faction's strategies and tactics you prefer. I personally enjoy the feel of flying the Imperial ships, I've alway been a fan of speed and maneuverability over durability (unless I can get both, like the Defender). It's always the thrill of the chase, the high risk/high reward tactics that appeal to me (that is also why my favorite piece in chess is the Knight because of its superior maneuverability). If the Rebels gave me the same feel, I'd play them more instead. That being said, I am looking forward to playing with an E-wing and A-wing list (because it can capture that Imperial feel).

I prefer Imperials, but respect the power of Rebel fighters and ships.

The Empire is a continuation of the Republic and it became what the Republic needed to be, at least for a while. What if the Republic kept going as it did? It would have fallen apart eventually, and it could have been very bad indeed.

Besides, the Republic was using the Jedi as a crutch and Senate had become a useless joke. Valorum wasn't a bad leader, he just inherited a broken system.

Say what you will about Palpatine, he remolded the Republic into a more functional entity.

But I think your silly not to fly Rebels. Best way to know your enemy is to actually use them.

Imperial... I own enough of both Factions to play either one at will but I tend to lean toward the Imperial side. I think this stems from my play style. When I started the game I started a TIE swarm list and since then have just added or removed from that list.

Right now I LOVE Echo!
