I agree. I wasn't sure about how to use the Defender's dial so the first couple games I played with it I gave it an Engine Upgrade to correct if I made any grievous positioning errors. Obviously, these will go away with practice on its new and quite unique dial, but I was definitely glad I took that Engine Upgrade. I can see why it's on Jonus, here, though. He may have a hard time keeping up with those Defenders.

Yeah, I gave jonus EU to add ease for his ability. I was afraid the defenders would ditch him .

The Tie Bomber and Tie Defender dials are quite similar, except for the fact that the Defender K-turn is white of course.

For the hard turns, both have a white 3 and a red 2. Defender has a hard 1 but it is red, so it should not use it often.

For the banks, they both have all three available, the Bomber have both 2 bank green.

For the straight, the Bomber has a 1 while the Defender has the 5, both 2 and 3 are green for both ships.

So, both ship should not have trouble flying in formation and stay in range 1 of each other. Maybe just assure that the front of the Bomber is clear in case you have to k-turn next turn. The Advanced is the best ship for formation flying with the Defender because the k-turn is also a 4 and they have the same straights (2 to 5), but the Bomber is a close second.
