What you do when a Mythos card opens a vortex, but it does not open a gate? I mean, where the vortex should apear?

I would draw the next Mythos card and place it on the locaation shown on it (repeat unitl a Gate location is shown). Then discard that Mythos card.

Of note:

• Any rift opened by the movement pattern on the Unusual Phenomenon mythos card will open at the Unvisited Isle as normal, but the one opened by the card's special text should have a mythos card drawn to find its location (my personal opinion anyway)
• All the rifts opened by failing the World Torn Asunder rumor should have a card drawn to place each of them.
