Well, inspired by Keffisch and Macross, here is my TIE Phantom!
Nothing ground breaking, but I hope everyone likes it!

Nicely done. I hope to do this with one of my Phantoms someday
I love the look of these repaints but sadly my skill with paint ends at walls.
That looks phenomenal.
That's an effective job. Can you post a rear view shot? I'm hoping to do an effect like yours when I get hold of a Phantom.
The back isn't very interesting... Just black with some white dots. The only thing I think I need to do is to go back and add some smaller stars now... Right now they are all the same size and it looks very strange:(
How does everyone do that cool energy boarder between the cloak part and the not cloak part?

Start by painting the back black, making sure the line isn't straight and wavers a bit. Along that line, using a 00 or 000 brush, paint dark blue a couple mm thick. When it's dry, paint along the inside with a medium blue. When that's dry, light blue. Add white dots of varying size to the black part.
Instead of using three different shades of blue, you can achieve better results starting with a dark blue you like and gradually mixing in white - this works better if you have a wet palate to store the paint on so it doesn't dry out while you wait for the model to dry.
Glad to know that my Phantom paint guide has come to use! Those particular posts on my blog has seen a lot of visits the last two days. ![]()

alright cool, thanks. I have this really really REALLY cool idea for a Phantom model, but i'm not sure it can be done. I'll post pictures if I ever do it though.
