Love the models. Incredible detail.

I bought the core game when it came out. Dislike the rules system, i am a bit too old school playing Ace of Aces, Blue Max, Crimson skies, etc where in order to hit something they had to be directly in front of my craft, and within a few inches/hexes. I feel like I am a blind man moving around the game board with my arms extended 45 degrees on both sides and holding 12 foot poles, all it takes is a little turn an i can hit something

later on bought the YT-1300

I play the RPG and most of my 'fun' money goes to that. But I doubt I am ever going to play the miniature game. I will be buying the Corellian Corvette, cannot pass up on such an iconic ship and the superb detail on the model

BUt I really have a hard time justifying $15 per a model for use in my RPG

If you're just looking for EotE and AoR rpg minis check ebay for the old micro machines Star Wars Action Fleet, they're closer in scale to standard minis and come with little figures that you could glue to bases. There's far cheaper ways to get rpg minis than using the x-wing expansions.

Or wait for the upcoming Star Wars COMMAND, which is being put out by Hasbro and is a bunch of minis.

I have actual playtest credit for a few games put out by WizKids. Doesn't make me an expert, but I have experience working closely with game designers
