Help me pick my first Epic/GR-75 list

By Gibarian, in X-Wing

I'm going to break in my GR-75 for the first time, but there are so many ways to build it, and to build a squad around it, that I'm having trouble settling on a choice.

It's a 200 point game, no mission in play.

Idea #1 - Focus Freaks

GR-75

Backup Shield Generator

Comms Booster

37

Ibtisam

HLC

Opportunist

Shield Upgrade

43

Wes Janson

29

Garven Dreis

26

Kyle Katarn

Ion Turret

Recon Spec

Moldy Crow

32

Jake Farrell

Test Pilot

PTL

Predator

Chardaan

Stealth Device

31

Wes and Ibby team up to devastate targets, everybody else plays focus-passing games. Should be relatively easy to manage, and the focus combos are fun to used based on previous 100 point games I've played.

Idea # 2 - Stressed to Kill

GR-75

Engine Booster

Backu Shield Generator

Slicer Tools

WED-15 Repair Droid

Bright Hope

50

Dagger Squad x 2

Ion Cannon

Flechette Torps

29, 29

Gold Squad

Ion Turret

R3-A2

25

Jake Farrell

Test Pilot

PTL

Predator

Proton Rockets

Stealth Device

36

Green Squad

Test Pilot

PTL

Deadeye

Assault Missile

Stealth Device

31

The first group of ships flings around stress and ion tokens, while the transport slices. The A-Wing team operate together, looking for low PS enemies to get behind, using their different missiles types as appropriate .

Idea #3 - Critical City

GR-75

Jan Dodonna

WED-15 Repair Droid

Backup Shield Generator

41

Dagger Squad x 2

HLC

31, 31

Etahn A'Baht

PTL

Advanced Sensors

R2-F2

Stealth Device

44

Luke

28

Tarn Mison

R7 Astro

25

This list can throw out a ton of crits, while Etahn and the X-Wings all have survivability-boosting abilities. Probably the hardest to fly, though, since keeping stuff within R1 of Dodonna will be difficult, particularly since I've never seen the Transport's movement patterns before. I might end up erasing some of my own ships with the whale.

All comments/tips appreciated!

No Toryn Farr? She's really handy when those TIE Bombers come swooping in.

I'm not quite sure how to build with her in a 200 point list, where you want to keep the GR-75 on the cheap end.

It seems to me that a cheap GR-75 with Toryn would be best as a ramming specialist, since you're going to want to get it close to as many enemies as possible, but all those hull/shield repairing upgrades, combat retrofit, and bright hope (for the extra energy storage) add up quickly.

Can you cobble together a decent Toryn Transport for 50 or fewer points?

If you don't mind printing out spoiled cards you might get a kick out of this.
