Type of Starship in Corebook on page 29 ?

By hyaxinth, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Does anybody know which starship is depicted in the Core Rulebook on page 29 ?

It's a Crescent-X9.

Edit: Typo.

It's a Crescent-X9.

Or a close relative thereof. There's some conjecture as to it being a new ship design, or just a misrendering of an existing design (of which there are several in the crb)

Cool, thanks !!

The Crescent-X9 is a 4000 year old design by the time of EotE. So, an easly solution to the "misrendering" and the X9 being too old by EotE is to say it's a direct discendant, the X-54 perhaps? Or possibly it is an indirect discendant by an engineer who stumbled upon some ancient Old Republic design plans and reintroduced the "X10" to be rebuilt by a modern starship corporation.

That or its a musuem or private collector's restoration hangar and they're trying to get the old girl flying again after the derelict came into their possession. Or it could be a elaborate holovid prop for a holo set back in that time period. Could be a lot of things. :D

LEt us not forget that certain ancient ships are still spaceworthy due to being well taken care of or stored very, very carefully.

I do like your idea of someone taking the design and either revamping it or rebuilding it in general for those "classical look" sales. Maybe I should try that out in a game. . .

It's no particular ship, but it was based on the Nebulon Ranger, a Crescent X-9.
