Hello. I am trying to create background information for some characters for an unrelated Star Wars project I have. I figured this board might be a place that could help me with that...

All I really need for it to do would be to generate a planet for my characters to come from, but if it could produce more in-depth information that would be great. The issue that I have is that there are a lot of characters, and I do not know that many planets in the Star Wars universe. I have found some things that will create random planet names, but I would really like the planets to have already been established as canon.

If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you very much!

I am creating a fighter squadron, and I need home worlds for the pilots. Basically, I am looking for something that will generate a random planet for each person to be from, but I would like this "planet generator" to have a database that uses actual planets from the Star Wars universe. You could try picking up a copy of the Star Wars Atlas... It has great maps of the whole galaxy plus details of many of the worlds! Altho must of it is now probably "not canon" it's still a great resource & an all round **** good read!

Oh, easy - go get yourself a copy of Central Casting: Heroes for Tomorrow - a couple of dice rolls later and you've got a pretty good framework of a background to build on. It might be a bit overkill, but there's nothing stopping you from picking and choosing what you use. You don't have to use the whole book cover to cover.
