I spoke yesterday, while demonstrating in a convention, with old CCG players (Spycraft, if I remember well!)
They told me the society which edited this game as developped another concept to enhance their sellings while increasing the players satisfaction:
The society decided to produce some kind of boosters, which were made of extra copy of the original card given in the packs the players bought to create their decks. This way, they were able to buy X copy of this "tournament" pack to reach the number of characters they were allowed to have in a deck.
I thought of it tonight and finally find it suitable to Cthulhu LCG. I don't know if the game got sold with people buying multiple packs or Just 1 Core + 1 AP (or X AP of each). But it might be interessant to produce , besides the AP, another booster which propose 1 copy of each card you'll find in x1 in the AP.
I hope you understand what I say, cause, this way, FFG should sell 1 regular AP + 2 of these packs to a guy who want to have the whole AP in x3, and this guy would'nt have to buy 3 AP (in case the packs got sold at a tiny price, containing about 10 cards, that should be a deal !). So he would'nt have to pay for 3 AP and would'nt have to stock x6 extra copy of the common cards.
What do you think of this idea for the LCG format ? Should we propose FFG to take this into consideration ?
