I just got the Rebel Transport yesterday.
And I can't wait to fly Tarn Mison with R7 Astromech. Seems like a match made in heaven.

It is pretty solid, just remember R7 only triggers once per round. Still a pretty nice combo 
The Transport is a lot of fun even without upgrades. Just practice with turning and don't wipe our your own escorts like I did.
It is. You may only get R7 once per round, but you know that you will have a target lock when it matters. Tarn is one of the nastiest people to face one-on-one in the end of a match (along with Luke and R2-D2)
