Starkiller ship Rogue Shadow

By Krynn007, in X-Wing

This crossed my mind today.

See a lot of wish lists and speculation, but I don't think I've ever heard mention of Starkiller ship from the force unleashed games, the rogue shadow

I was thinking this should still fall into the timeline ffg had been using

Its after the clone wars and during vader reign

Although it would be another cloak ship, but that is the imperial style.

Pilots would be Starkiller, Juno, and some generic pilots.

I just think the rogue shadow is pretty sweet looking, and would love to see it. Even if it didn't have cloak

I love the first Force unleashed game, the second was terrible :(

The second one was incredibly disappointing.

It has been mentioned in several wish/possible release threads. I think it would be great. I loved its look, and it is a nice departure from normal imperial doctrine. The third named pilot could be the old Jedi general whose name escapes me right now... As far as timeline, if the Z-95 fits, Rogue Shadow oughta.

General Kota? I believe is who yout are thinking about.

Well I guess that is my bad. I've probably seen it mention, but I don't remember . Maybe that is why I thought of it today. Subconscious?

I'll predict wave 6

,

My biggest wonder is what side it would end up being, as there are reasons it could be on both. Starkiller and Juno take it with them when they switch sides, which would justify making it Rebel (with Starkiller/Juno/Kota as the pilots), but at the same time they and the ship were also with the Empire originally and the ship was an Imperial design (you could use Proxy instead of Kota for the third pilot). It would be interesting.

As cool idea would be have two versions of star killer. One that is imperial and one that is alliance, and this could be the first ship that you can pay in either side and like you said have either proxy or Kota as pilots or maybe crew.

What I wouldn't like however is it just doesn't look like it fits for the rebels.

The major problem is that if they did it to scale, it would be roughly the size of the transport. I don't see them making a huge ship with cloak, and even if they scaled it down to be the size of the falcon, a large ship with cloak might still be broken. That having been said, I still want one.

I love that ship and even looked into getting a die cast titanium series, but they are super rare and expensive.

Also it has a wonky scale, according to wookiepedia is is 65 metres long so doesn't really fit in scale wise, the issue of rebel/imperial not withstanding. I think it fits imperials better to be honest.

Interestingly, I have been wondering how Force Unleashed (and to a lesser extent Shadows) was affected by the great canon purge. Both were originally officially designed and sanctioned as canon. I hope they were still are there, because the first Force Unleashed was probably the best Star Wars story since...Ewoks battle for Endor (which by virtue of being a movie is still canon), haha. But anyway Force Unleashed was awesome, though I could do without the over to top force powers.

Given the way they modelled the actors, I really thought the live action TV show should have been the Force Unleashed (and I still do).

Well to be fair the transport is 90m I believe

The rogue shadow is 67 I think

Be about twice the size of the Decimator.

Still this would make an awesome ship for the empire equivalent to the transport maybe.

A huge ship with cloak?

I don't think it has any offensive capabilities,or maybe it does

I think it'd end up being Rebel. Kota (thanks! that's exactly who I meant) would be Rebel, and most of the first game is spent Rebellionesque. It'd be neat to see it dual faction though. Juno and Starkiller could easily have two different cards, and Proxy could be Imeprial, while Kota is rebel. That's an awesome idea.

I do worry that between scale, the eupocalypse, and Disney's vetoing of new video games we are unlikely to see one. However, it's fun to wish!

Two versions. TFU version, Imperial.

TFU II version, Rebel. They are -very- different designs. REALLY different. What their capabilities are, I have no clue at all.

It could also be the first ship to have different versions of the same people piloting it.

That would be crazy.

TFU

TFU II (wings closed)

TFU II (wings open)

It is interesting to note that the vessel's size was thoroughly halved, its shielding got thicker, and so on. But it was notably less agile.

It would make for an interesting duality and the manner of which they end up being used would also be interesting. It is noteworthy however, that the Rogue Shadow is twice the size of the Falcon, and the second version is less than. (Only 15ish meters, roughly that of the HWK-290, actually!)

So yeah.

Lots of changes.

Wow, didn't know that!

I'll have to go do some research!

I guess we should know reasonably soon whether Disney intend to dip their toes into this part of the EU pond as the new Rebels show will cover the formation of the rebel alliance.

I have everything crossed we see Starkiller, one of the cooler characters in the EU for sure. A crumb of comfort is that the force unleashed art director is heavily involved in the Rebels production!

I'll be upset if they change tfu unleashed canon

The new rebel show looked kind of kidish.

Plus when I was playing tfu I was surprised to see the rebellions formation

Great game

Let's hope we see the rogue shadow

Eh, the second one is lame. Stick to the first.

Ya is a **** Shame.

I bought the second still have it and still never used the code that came with. Think it gave black light Saber.

Tried to sell it with no takers lol.

I think the rogue shadow looks awesome.

Having it as the equivalent of the rebel transport with some kind of cloak device would be pretty cool

Plus having two versions of it one for rebels and one for imperials would be really cool.

I think it would sell more cause even if you play with only one faction you would want it

I really want the Rogue Shadow. Mainly to get Juno Eclipse in the game.

The Rogue Shadow is like the 2nd topic I ever made. Its pretty cool. The problem with making it is which version should be used? I would pick SWTFU2 version because it looks way cooler. The other problem is which faction should it belong too, Reb? IMP? BOTH but with diffrnt sets of crew cards to be used depending on the faction.

If the last one was the case for sure I think there should be only two versions that have no pilot named with the card. The Reb would be called New Rogue Shadow while the IMP one would just be Rogue Shadow.

The ship should be like a super TIE Scout with little fire power and lots of support abilities, mostly granted by crew. It should have three or four crew spots.

The Reb crew cards should be Capn Juno, Proxy, Rohm Kota, Galen Marek, Clone 11XX, Bail Organa.

The IMP crew cards should be BE-122-78 (Juno), Holo Assassin Droid (Proxy), Star Killer, Dark Apprentice, Maulkiller, Tao, Lumiya, Kharys, Antinnis Termayne, Hethrir, Rillao, Flint.

I gave the Empire more crew because the Rebs should have more right now because of the big ships and Reb Aces. Also this is a good time and set to have all of Vaders Apprentices come out.

I dont know what any of there abilities should be BUT I do know that Galen Marek, Clone 11XX, Star Kilker, Dark Apprentice, and Maulkiller should be allowed to be on the table all at the same time because they are all diffrent people despite looking similar.

All I want is Juno Eclipse.

More into red heads so I'm going for Mara :)

From what I red in tweets from one of the important higher up people games are unknown, works before ep 6 are basically unknown. Shadows has to be canon because they just added SOTE to the SW rpg.

It has one or two cannons. It could also ram things.

I thought they were focusing on only one Rebel organization rather than the whole Rebel Alliance.

I like the idea of getting Vader's apprentices as crew. The Empire needs more Imperial only crew. Also I like the idea of two versions of the Rogue Shadow. It would be cool if the Imperial version could only win if all other ships were dead at the end of the game. To represent Vader's orders to leave no witnesses, when the last Rebel ship dies, all the rest of the remaining Imperials fight the RS. If the RS dies the Imp side only gets a modified win.

Yeah Dude that would be cool. Like have it be a special mission that comes with the set. Mission 12 "Leave no witnesses, show no mercy."

Like the Rebs must also have Luke, Wedge, Farlander, or Greenleader. They get a special ability for this scenero, like maybe a free PTL, which reps them disturbing the force.

Mission 13 could be like "Gurdians of the galaxy." In it they must keep every Reb on the Table alive as the escape. This would be for the Reb Rogue Shadow of course.

ps I realise "Gurdians of the Galaxy" is marvel but I was not doing that as a homage. I wanted the name to be "Jedi are the gurdians of peace and justice throught the galaxy" but I felt it was too long.

A large ship that could Stealth would be terrifying. Who needs a Stealth-X when you've got the Rogue Shadow?

As for pilots, if you released two versions (Though Rebel is MUCH more likely) it'd go something like this.

Juno Eclipse: PS8
Galen Marek: PS6
Rahm Kota: PS4

Not entirely sure what their special abilities would be, but I got one for Kota.

"Force Insight"
"After at the end of the movement phase, select one of your opponent's movement dials. After this, you may adjust yours accordingly. Apply one stress token."

Because hey, he can see with the force now, but obviously he needs to have some kind of advantage as a result.
