Next list I want to try, designed to make phantom and interceptors swear.

Granted, my dice were severely sucking at the time, but I wanted to pull my hair out facing a vanilla E-Wing with R2D2. It's slippery enough on it's own, but then flying off, getting rid of the damage you just put on it is irritating. There was enough points in other ships to keep me moving, that I couldn't focus fire on it, and it was too strong on it's own to really afford to let it have the run of the board.

Say what you will about Defenders and Phantoms, THEY don't have a way to recover from damage, like the Reb ships do.

Since i play phantom + 5 ties, i would love to play against that.

Sounds interesting...if I were to run Phantoms...I'd probably try

2x Phantoms.

2x Interceptors.

Keep the Phantoms at RB 3 (out of Ion range) and whittle away the Y-Wings with 4AD. Interceptors as blockers if needed. Play a defensive (evade action) game till the ions are ko'd.

Hurm, maybe I will try simulating this when I get home.
