I've been struggling with my own first Escalation list for a tourney this weekend so my critique comes with no experience attached but I can share some of my own thought processes.

My concern with Round 1 is whether you're packing enough firepower or high enough Pilot Skill to deal with the multitude of threats. I'd also worry about an Agility 1 ship who has no competition for being the priority target!

My answer (not to say it's the right one) was to go Wes (&VI) with Wedge in round 1, a combo which should mean I'm killing an opponents ship before they fire back. I was then introducing Dutch in round 2, before going Garven in 3 and finally Etahn in round 4.

Still trying to solve the riddle myself!

Good point. I don't have the transport though so Wes is out!

You could bring Corran forward to round 1, pack him with FCS and pair him with Blount or Cracken?

Do you guys build your round 4 team first and then strip it away? Or start with round 1 and build it up?

Tried it both ways! Fundamentally each squad needs to stand on it's own merit so it's really important you don't sacrifice an earlier squad to build up to a 150 pt dream team.... get the 60 point foundation right and I suspect your half way there.

That and picking Imperials ;)

Hello! Welcome to the Compendium ! You have chosen, or have been chosen...

That's a link to a thread in which I dutifully compile all of the threads in which Escalation builds are discussed. Use it as you will for gathering the mostly missing metagame from the format!

Onto my critique:

You've over-upgraded. The Shield and Hull upgrades aren't worth their points in this list. The Flechettes are viable for 2 points, but may have been better spent elsewhere. Similarly with the PS Bid of using Reds instead of Rookies.

That's 13 points that you can play around with. That's using Luke/Porkins and Garven Dreis or Wedge/Wes and Biggs instead of your Reds.

Other than that, though, this is a solid fleet. Still not convinced of Marksmanship, even on Corran, but I ain't picky.
