Nope. But expecting it to arrive anywhere near the start of the quarter is.

I don't know, they've hit every deadlines so far this year, it could be possible. They missed imp aces original projections last November, but they hit their revised projection for this year, the Tranport, the tantive, and Wave 4 were all on time. Considering they missed all of their projections last year, this is a step in the right direction. They have until the end of September, so we'll know closer to then.

Anyway, Rebel Aces would be first anyway, so don't look for it before then.

I think you are placing too much value on the accuracy of the new releases page. It isn't always updated with status changes in a timely manner.

But I think FFG has demonstrated a pretty good record on meeting their projections for X-Wing, with the exception of Imperial Aces. Besides, they'll want to have something for Gen Con. I'm guessing that will be Rebel Aces with Wave V in September.

It was closure to 8 weeks for wave from from boat to shipping then 10 days. So if the Aces changed today to being on the boat I would say Mid aug sounds right. Seeing there not on the boat yet your looking sept.

I suppose it is possible. If they make it to the printer soon, then they may meet the projection, but it just feels wrong -

Yeah, late quarter three (end of September) sounded pretty optimistic when I first read it. I imagine we'll get something closer to the typical Fantasy Flight Effect — add two months to get the actual release date.

End of September, if not later. They have been hitting release dates fairly well, but they've been almost swamping the market. I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement at GenCon of epic Imperials to arrive for Q4. Otherwise, I'm fine with getting my hands on my Wave 4 ships for awhile.

In case anyone cares, Cool Stuff, Inc. is showing September 2014 for an availability date. Whether that is accurate remains to be seen.

Yeah, September seems reasonable. I expect Rebel Aces to shift to on the boat this week or the next.

It's a non-descriptive Q3, but it most likely won't be July since it's still at the printer, and shipping typically takes about a month. A lot of people assumed they were going to try to get it in before gencon, and I still think that's a good guess.

What I expect is a special announcement, spoiler or article by FFG about future releases for the July 4th weekend, just to kick off with the celebrations.

That they were smart to not try and be too specific.

The day it was put up in the news it said late 3rd quarter. I never saw it say otherwise. That was automatically Sept to me.

"Wave V is scheduled to arrive late in the third quarter of 2014."

Yeah, I don't think we should expect anything to be in stores before September, if even then.

And... thank goodness. We've only just had Wave 4 arrive and I think we need time to digest it. I have to say that I'm starting to be wary of this rapid expansion of the game. Clearly, they're ramping things up in order to strike while the iron is hot. I'm just worried that they'll screw it up by not taking their time. Also, I worry about what it means in relation to the license.

To come earlier than "promised". Which is fine...more time to save up some money

Well there are fewer types of ships, which means the printer will have fewer configurations to set up, there will be less inserts to design, less token boards to lay out for die cutting, and fewer pilots to design, develop and playtest. So it's conceivable that wave 5 could take significantly less time to create than wave 4, and it seems they've hammered out the kinks in their development process.

Guys, calm down, wave 4 just came out and people are still trying to figure that out... Wave 5 can wait, rebel aces can wait, Wave 4 now.
