Ok people so at 2007 Worlds i played a staff member named Erik Yaple, The Baddest Man In Gaming. This card at the time was kinda hard to get i think, but anyways you have to play him and beat him then defend the card till he deems you worthy of receiving his card. So we play and hes using Rock with a crap ton of damage redux, and only uses 1 attack, Ultimate Volcano. So we play and im not getting anywhere fast, but i manage in one turn to have like 10 cards in my card pool(i was playing Ibuki in legacy) and manage to get him down to 5 or so health. On his turn he attempts to play Replenisment, I PotE that, then he plays a foundation or something, then tries to play Ultimate Volcano, i PotE that one. So after i do that he basically says screw it, i might have made him a little angry to lol. He takes out his char card and a big knife out of his pocket and proceeds to cut it in-half, and tells me to defend it. This was probably the highlight of my worlds trip that year. Anyways i defend the card and on the last match im playing he throws it to me and says here ya go...now i could have been a ****** and just took the card but being the nice guy i am, i finished the match and lost. While i didnt get the actual card i do have the cut in-half version cut by the man himself. Just thought id share the story with everyone, cause its an awesome story!

I miss that Rock, he's still one of the nastiest 6HSers around

He is more or less a good guy though. Fun enough most of the time. I like his faux anger... or was it genuine? ...

i remember that story very well, yeah you guys must have had a lot of fun with that challange, though it was arrogant of him to tear his card in half, give it to ya and then walk away while you try to defend it... meh...

I beat him quite easily with my RW Tira.. Didn't care 2 try and defend and earn his card tho lol! Only staff member who gave me any challenge at all was Steve playing Leona(it was awesome)...

In 2006, I had people who wanted my staff card to run the gauntlet of Street Fighter bosses. I surprised a lot of people with Balrog, and Vega and Sagat were beasts, and then Bison sadly was pretty sad. For time reasons I had to only do best of one.

Most people loved it. Since there were some employees who would give it out pretty easily, it's OK to make some people work for them.

I totally didnt mind playing him...it was rather fun....and its a really cool story...so even though i didnt get the actuall card i got the cooler cut in half card! lol
