Fly THROUGH Huge Ship in Epic?

By Ribann, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Title says it all. Friend and I are playing Epic right now and want to know if we can "pass through" a huge ship (i.e. Corvette") with a smaller ship so long as you land on the other side?

Also, if you "land" onto a huge ship with a small ship (like you would an asteroid), do you blow up or bump?

Thanks!

Yes you can. Like any other ship.

The movement template may overlap a ship with no penalty. Even a huge ship.

Like dvor said, you can pass over no problem

Overlapping a huge ship is covered in the huge ship rules. I think it us an auto point of damage, but I am not sure.

Yes you suffer the roll of 1 attack die if you would overlap a huge ship.

If you overlap a huge ship with a smaller one you

  • Move the smaller ship back so the bases are touching, as normal
  • Skip your perform action step, as normal
  • Roll 1 attack die and suffer the damage

I think it'd be more fun to simply have the ship land on the base and get carried away :P
Sadly, that's not how it works. And it makes no sense in a realistic setting.

One minor point to add here: if you're using the huge ship as an obstacle, it follows the normal obstacle rules, including all the problems which come from the template overlapping the base.

Not sure how often anyone's doing that, but thought it was worth calling out since it's handled differently.

Excellent point, and something very easy for us to forget.
