When rebel aces come out we will get A-wing test pilot. This may not be ideal but this could let Tycho Celchu take swarm tactics and VI. For some ps10 Swarming. 27 pts with refit. If you don't wanna run Roark, coming in at 24 with ion cannon. It's another way to get into that double digit chain. I didn't see this on any thread if I missed it sorry. Another way to shoot before whisper.

I love your Tycho's Screaming Eagles list. Sorry I didn't see it earlier.

My first attempt useing Tycho with ST+VI came out as follows.

Tycho Celchu + Refit + Title + ST+ VI. (27pts)

Red Squadron Pilot + R2-D6+ ST. (26pts)

Lieutenant Blount + ST + AM. (24pts)

Rookie Pilot (21pts)

Comes out at 98 so definitely can be reworked a bit. I'm not much of a rebel player tho and I like your list more.

Too much PS, too little damage. Shooting first with four a-wings isn't worth it because you're not going to kill anything with that alpha strike. Instead, spend those points on a more modest PS bid and some better guns.

Meh, as long as you survive his alpha strike.

I find too much importance is placed on that first strike, I'm in it for the long haul. I know, it's a result of the limited time in the tournaments which greatly favour highly aggressive build as opposed to the more tactical builds (recently slightly mitigated by the lowered threshold for modified wins), but still.

That's now how I meant it, I thought it amusing that we were thinking along the same path.

98 pts for your list isn't bad. It gives you the option to go late, which is never a bad thing.
