My E-Wing got bented

Kudos if you got the VG Cats reference from the title alone.

Anyway, my wave 4 ships arrived today and I've discovered that I will need to perform major surgery on the E-Wing as it the socket which attaches the ship to the peg is set at exactly 45 degrees. I sense an afternoon's work with a craft knife, needle file and some super-glue, otherwise Corran Horn is going to be pulled over for drink-driving/flying.

My B-Wings were off by a couple of degrees but liveable with. Anyone else encounter such a dramatic offset?

And, more to the point, any solutions?

Crap does happen though 45 degrees are a lot! +/-10 degrees can be accepted but any more than that will just look odd. The worst Ive encountered is about 30 degrees on my HWK but since I'm repainting it right now that partcular problem will soon be fixed.

While you have the peg removed just glue a magnet to it and be done :)

Not had a ship that far off no but it's not going to be that hard to fix, you want to see bad look at games workshops fine cast models truly garbage for the price they charge.

Contact FFG customer service , and they may be willing to replace just the ship for you.

Had an A-wing show up with the mount peg in backwards. Was rather impressed as that had to have taken a lot of effort to slam the little triangle in there the wrong way.

My pegs are all in straight on all my ships, but inside the pegs of my B Wings the straight edge that locks into the support pegs is to the side, so all my b wings point to one side instead of straight.

Oh yeah. I had an A-wing rotated 115 degrees clockwise. Just shave the peg so it fits in backwards and you're set.
My B-wings were also, like many others', off to one side slightly. A little shaving and some glue fixed that.

Yikes... You guys are all hardcore about your "fixes."

The Defender I got at Imdaar was slightly slanted to one side, so I just broke it off, then Krazy-glued it back as straight as possible. It's plenty straight, you can't tell it was messed up, and it's strong.

Did the same with a Firespray that was flying off into the sunset...

I' ve taken the 'snip, file, glue' option and while I was at it, glued most of the peg on my other ships, leaving the base free of course!

Hey, our collection are almost identical (save wave 4) a we can be X-Twings.

From a web comic called VG Cats. A character called Ternaldo is very protective of his Pokemon cards and, when one gets slightly foxed, decries "ONE OF MY CARDS GOT BENTED!!!"

Huh. I think not using "I bent my wookiee..." was a missed opportunity.

The B-Wings seemed to have a common issue with being rotated 20-30 degrees off of straight ahead. I cut the mounting elbow off of mine, carved out a spot in the center of the engines for a magnet and filed a place on a peg stand for the other magnet. Problem solved, and they rotate around like they're supposed to. (I even cut off the cockpits and remounted them on a pin so you can adjust the angle).

Hmmm, I have a B-Wing with wonky cards and the links for customer services are down. I can't even send them an email as that fails too. I hope the get the links fixed early next week...

I did the same for my Bs, and also used magnets for the cockpit... but I have never bought a ship that was off on the pegs.. some just get lucky I guess.. lol
