Having only played a coupe of games of X-wing I've come up with a 100 point force to try out. The models I've currently got are...

3 X-wing, 2 A-wing, 1 Y-wing, 1 B-wing, 1 E-wing and 1 Z-95

I wanted to play around with the idea of mutal support between ships. So I started out with 'Dutch' Vander and his ability is to pass on a target lock on to another friendly ship. I then added in Airen Cracken with the idea that he would stick close to Dutch benefiting from the target lock and passing on his free action to Dutch as often as he can.

I thought that Garven Dreis also would work well in a list like this with his ability to pass his focus token on to another friendly ship. Lastly I dropped a Dagger squadron into the mix to round out the force to four ships. I had a few points left over so I took an Ion Cannon Turret for Dutch and an Ion Cannon for the Dagger squadron pilot. So the list is...

Airen Cracken (Z-95)

Dutch Vander (Y-wing) + Ion Cannon Turret

Garven Dreis (X-wing)

Dagger Squadron Pilot (B-wing) + Ion Cannon

Advise would be welcome.

Pretty good list, certainly fun.

One thing to note, try to have Garven shoot before Dutch (they are the same PS) so you can possibly pass that focus to him for offense.
