I have been playing since the game was released and have yet to fly a rebel list, just feels wrong. Am I alone in this ?

I've run rebels in solo games, while thinking of them as my adversary.

I've also been thinking about how I should play rebels, and all of my most recent purchases have been rebels.

But when it comes to facing off against someone, I really only play Empire. No exception.

I mostly play as Imperials (partly because most people I play with want to play rebels) but I see no reason to waste half the game by never playing as rebels

I tired once but it made me feel like some soft hearted hippie eating granola and wearing sandals.

I have played and enjoy the rebel ships, but they just don't seem to met my play style. I started wanting to play the Empire and I almost exclusively play the Empire.

I feel like I am trying to write with my off hand when I fly Rebel ships. lol

I'm loyal to the Empire, but not to the Emperor - my allegience lies with Grandadmiral Zaarin.

But SW:Ledgends fluff aside, I prefer the Imperial playstyle which puts much more emphasis on maneuvers and the need to anticipate and/or psych your oponent.

How so?

If the rebels had a ship as awesome as the Interceptor and a pilot as mobile as Ol' Fel I might play them more.

I only play Scum when I'm showing someone how to play, I give them a choice of who they wanna play... so... I only played the scum a few time.. lol... oh.. amd solo games, but I don't count those as the AI program 'plays' them, I just have to move them.. lol

I have only flown Rebel ships when I have played alone. I am no terrorist.

I only, fly the empire as of currently. ( I played a couple games to show someone the game as the rebels, and played as porkins in someones list as I love me some porkins. ) Though I will be honest, I will fly some A's and B's come rebel aces, as I love the A wing ( for similar reasons as I love the squint ) and B's add nice fire power to the mix for them. Though, through and through, I am an Empire player.

Edit: I will say as well I just originally got the A wing and B wing for PTL and Fire control, respectively. I just couldn't wait for them and it was a long way still before Imp Aces were even known, or wave 4

I flew as rebels once. I feel dirty now.

The mere posing of that question can be grounds for court martial! Now go run that simulator 12 more times! And clean up the vomit in station 4. Never serve Kaminoian sea shrimp on the same day as you run interceptor sims... how many times do I have to tell them...

I play both, but this thread made me realize that every tournament I've played in, I've taken an Imperial list, my personal favorite involving Krassis and a pair of squints.

I will play both but definitely lean towards the dark side.

I've bought all the rebel scum ships (multiples of fighters), but just so I had targets for my loyalist citizens. It would turn my stomach to stand on 'that side' of the table...

look at my signature i just won rebels in touarnements but i never touched them they are still in thier boxes. iam 100% Loyal to the Galactic Empire and i really thought of wearing a Tactician suit while flieng my Empire builds in the local game store touarnements ^^ but i never did maybe i do it one day ^^.

and the thing i like about empire is that they have REALLY fast paced dogfighters and thats why i love flieng em. My favorite tie is the Tie-Interceptor. ok it can go down very fast if it got his first crits but the adrenalin rush u have, if u think of how i can keep him still in battle and get the best use of that crippled ship is just amazing and i mean we dont have barrel rolls for no reason to avoid aestroids and such. the rebel player can fly through em with thier shields not carring of the results but we as imperial pilots do care cause most of our ships do not have any shielding.

i think playing empire is just switching the Button to Hard Mode in X-wing
