What are some of the best imperial single ship combos, not including phantoms. Ideas?
Best imperial damage output possible?
Are you just talking about max damage in one shot? Just give a bomber APTs or Proton Rockets and PTL (or Opportunist if you can manage to pull off TL, focus, and trigger opportunist).
So, allow me to Tee-Off on this one on my favorite TIE combos:
Howlrunner + PTL + Black Squadron Pilot + Wingman (two ships I know, but I love this one!)
Howlrunner + Stealth Device
Backstabber + Outmaneuver (Just Wrong)
Interceptors:
Soontir Fel + PTL + Targeting Computer (Duh)
Turr Phennir + Veteran Instincts (Duh)
Saber Squadron Pilot + PTL (standard)
And I'll defer to the rest of the field...
Yeah... Opportunist+Proton Rocket on a Defender, probably Vessery for the free target lock.
APT does the same, has slightly more reliable damage, but is harder to meet the target Lock focus conditions for. I suppose Jonus or Rhymer with a squad leader.

If you are shooting at agility 1 or 0 the best thing is 7 or 8 TIEs. That is 14 attack dice all together.
If you are shooting at agility 3 or 4 anything with a HLC or Torpedoes.
There is one attack that is great against either, Cluster Missiles backed up with Captain Jonus.

Besides what everyone else wrote bellow in special game play "mission 7" You can have one prototype of any unnamed ship. Any ship with three attack dice + expose or opportunist while firing at range 1 with the + 2 damage boosting base will give you 7 attack dice. If you get the two attacks per turn base active you can roll one 5 set and a 4 set of attack dice.
Thanks for the suggestions all, basically I'm going for a list to accompany a decked out echo, I have confidence with practice I can use echo alone to take out most teams, there are some exceptions of course so I'm trying to build a 62 point suicide squad who rams the oppoent and kills anyone with turreted abilities at the expense of themselves so echo can take his time the rest of the game.

Yup - Quite wrong, Backstabber doesn't have an EPT slot lol

Rhymer with PTL+APTs and Clusters should do pretty well for that use, TL+Focus at range 3 and use cluster missiles, then TL+Focus at range 1-2 for the APTs
I have echo, VI, FCS, intelligence agent, and ACD for 38.
If I add to that rhymer, PTL, APT, cluster, for the remaining 23 points I added a scimitar with assault missiles plus seismic charges (or would cluster/ion pulse?) how does that sound

I was looking at Bounty Hunter + Tactician and Omnicron Group Pilot + Engine Upgrade with Rebel Captive (or Tactician) to accompany my Echo.
10 attack dice standard
5 Agility standard (7 if cloaked)
13 Hull
11 Shields
That's a lot of shields to get through
Vader + concussion missile
almost guaranteed 4 hits if you focus and target lock
major rhymer + PTL + advanced torp
pretty much guaranteed 5 hits with a target lock and focus
and he can fire it at range 1-2

Just don't take too much of you time cause in a timed game you must destroy everything minus 26pts to call it a win.
If you are looking to accompany a decked out echo look no farther than this:
Vader, Focus, TL, Opportunist with a Proton Rocket.

yeah, so if echo is worth 38pts, minus 12, the opponent can't have more than 26pts left since you're planning on using the rest as a kamikaze team.
