Would a wingman mode be something anyone would be interested in? Or something anyone has tried?

Basically a team game. Two players on a team, each have a ship of the same type. So two interceptors or two B-wings. no mixed ship teams.

Each team gets same point limit. 50 or 75 or something.

Maybe even say every ship automatically has the wingman upgrade for free and doesn't take up an upgrade slot to encourage teamwork.

Sounds interesting... But I think it really would degenerate into two players doing the same thing most of the time. Still. I'd play it. But like any low ship format, it's going to suffer from a lack of balance.

At 50 points you can barely fit two X-Wings, let alone b-Wings. But named B-Wings and Phantoms cost nearly the same. At 75 points two Phantoms would eat every other set of two ships alive.
