Yes.
Not yet, despite owning both a GR-75 and a CR-90. All the new releases alongside AoIA and Regionals has meant that X-Wing time has needed to be focused on practicing 100 point games, and not playing around with the big stuff. They really should have spread out their releases after bringing in the new format so that people go out and play it. As a result I think the Epic format will struggle to gain traction in many areas.
Yep. Very different and fun. Ordinance gets a lot better. Big ships are tough to win with. Opportunist rules the day. Big ships are always hit by it. Games take at least 2 hours. Assault missiles are amazing. They are likely to get 5 collateral damage. That will get even better now that the Z-95 has hit. Remembering all actions and movements is easier if both players use one set of movement templates, and you remove the dials one at a time when the ships take their turn. Prepare for a long day if you play a tournament. It's great fun and terrain gets even more important. Also movement and collisions happen more frequently. Passing skills are great. Good luck.

Yes and I love it. The game is just insanely fun at 200+ points with huge ship command centers. The game almost doesn't feel complete without somebody coordinating the battle anymore.

2 games. Both lasted more than 4 hours. Lotsa fun, but very disappointed in the performance of the corvette.

Yes and it had highs and lows. You get to create the uber lists you've always dreamed of but at least in my case not all its cracked up to be.
Though if you wanna plow through things may I suggest 4 shuttles w/ AS & HLC with Jonus thats 16 reds w/ 8 rolls I was killing a Named deck out falcon a turn and only half of my points.

No, but only because it's regional season so we've been busy drilling for that. And it's payed off. prob in august.

Had to call it at 2 1/2 hours into it. My opponent had to leave. Was going to obliterate the transport in the next round (it had 2 hull remaining)
I have indeed, to a great deal of fun. Starting to get to the point where I honestly am liking Epic more than standard play in some respects. Here is a link to a report of a game I played, complete with pictures.

Two full games, although that was a while ago now, and lots of pushing the ships around the table taking a few test shots to see how they maneuver and attack.
yes, and want to play more. 1v1 at 300 points is great fun. 2v2 at 400 points is also enjoyable, as long as you have a partner that is willing to work together with you. Get a 'Lone Wolf' and you may as well pack your gear up, especially if your opponents are working as a team.

Yes, I have played Epic against two people in my league, and our 6th week league match was Team Epic. I was on the winning side of that one with:
Krassis Trelix + HLC + MercCo
Rexler Brath + Ion Cannon + Ion Pulse Missiles + Outmaneuver
Fel's Wrath
BST + Predator
Mauler Mithel + Veteran Instincts
I killed the bajeesus out of the Transport with Brath and Mithel, swept up enemy fighters with Krassis and everyone, while my teammate took out the CR-90 with Soontir Fel, OGP that had an Ion Cannon, Major Rhymer and the rest of his TIE swarm.

I think you might need to try it again, because they certainly will work great if you know what you are trying to do with them and stick to your plan. I have not played Epic yet because I am setting up for it. The videos I have watched show extremely good potential for the Huge ships.

My friends and I got a great deal of mileage out of the corvette. I feel the greatest thing that it brings to the table in comparison to equivalent amount of another ship is how much damage must be dealt before you start losing firepower. 13 hull/shields per section before losing a shot. Throw in reinforce actions and regenerating shields are all helpful. Finally, top it off with a repair droid and/or Jaina's light (absolutely worth 2 points I might add) and it can take a staggering amount of firepower to actually stop it.
Do I think it is perfect, not by a long shot. I personally like my transport, leaving my fighters to do the work (or ion people so I can run them over. Greatest feeling ever!) That being said the corvette when used properly it is a force to be wary of and tough to put down and personally I would take it over an equivalent amount of other ships.

The Corvette does most of the heavy lifting, and has taken a few extra toys to live longer. Title and droid keep it going for a LONG time. Keep the pace slow to keep the energy up, focus fire with weapons and punish anyone that gets caught in the broadsides. And comes to 116 points which is not bad at all.
Roark makes that bad mamma jamma (got to use a Shaft reference anytime you can) fire all of it's weapons at PS 12 which is just brutal! Takes an ion to ensure shots and keep any poor unsuspecting targets in front or in the sides of the Corvette. Totally worth every point.
Ibistam is there to deal with any ships that loop around to get in the blind spot, a highly maneuverable (via barrel roll and boost) and very reliable ship (love me some double actions and rerolls).
Finally two Bandit squadron pilots to run escort and pick off any stragglers. Have been strongly considering fudging points somewhere to make it two prototype pilots with refits once they come out.
All that said, in my games the Corvette has pulled its weight and brings a whole new play style to the table.

Haven't played epic format yet, though I aim to fix that when my CR90 arrives. Hopefully we'll see some Imperial massive ships announced at GenCon to make for some truly epic skirmishes.
