Falcon Pushes the Limit

By Corellian Corvette, in X-Wing

Recently had a lot of fun with a list of 2 A-wings (PS3 ones) with push the limit and refit, and a souped up falcon, with Push the Limit.

-Han Solo

-Falcon Title

-Engine Upgrade

-C3PO

-Nien Numb

-Push the Limit

-Green Squadron Pilot

-PtL

-Proxied Refit Card

-Green Squadron Pilot

-PtL

-Proxied Refit card

I think it was about 100 points.

Anyways, I really liked being able to take 2 actions a turn, and boosting +evading or Focusing +evading really increased the survivablilty. I still lost the falcon to concentrated fire, but C3PO made it stay alive a turn or two extra. ( once i had 2 dice, needed to block three, and called "2" with c3po, I had to because I would die if I didn't, and rolled 2, and C3PO added the third! :o )

The evade token is a powerful tool, it not only is like a temporary shield, but also discourages fire.

Now, I was thinking about proxying the new lando card on the falcon, like this:

-Han

-Falcon Title

-Engine Upgrade

-Push the Limit

-Lando

-Nien Numb

I don't have the cards in front of me, so i don't know how much this would cost, but the idea would be like this:

Lando is the first action.

-Then, either use the falcon title as a back up evade if blanks or focuses come up.

-Or, use a focus/boost if lando grants me evade tokens.

C3PO is there to constantly second guess the main charatures or provide the dry humor.

This way, the falcon takes less damage, and has the substantial hull to back it up if it does take the damage. 2 green squadrons would provide covering fire, but I don't know the total points cost of the potential list.

Thoughts? Too much upgrades?

It seems somewhat viable. As it currently stands, title + C3PO grants 2 auto evades a turn, so if you can get it down to 1-2 ships, the falcon is pretty much untouchable. Lando (or Jan/Kyle) will just add to that invincibility in the end game. As such, they have to target him first. Given, with the two A wings, they're likely to target Han first anyways. But this does mean you can fly your As much more aggressively, since a skilled player will likely realize that the R3 shot on Han is actually a better thing for him than the R1 on the A.

I'd even consider outmanouevre on those A's instead of PtL, in this case...

If you scrap enough Upgrades and Run chewie you can fit a Bandit Squadron pilot. Not a bad 4 ship build.

That might as well be another list entirely! Lol!

Good list try it and tell us how do you feel it, greettings.
