Many people in this thread seem to be assuming that FFG will have produced the same number of each ship. I would expect them to have varied the numbers of each depending on how popular they thought they would be, e.g. more Z-95s because they are so cheap points-wise. If they've got it right then all ships should sell out at approximately the same time. Although individual stores may have just ordered the same number of each I suppose...
How fast will Wave 4 sell out?
What is going to suck, is if you didn't pre-order, and are planning on doing a tournament soon - and you can't get wave 4 stuff, yet most other people there DO have wave 4. Gonna feel bad.
I didn't preorder anything. Ordered from my normal seller last Friday nite, and got my wave 4 on Monday morning. FFG has the supply chain worked out since the summer of no a-wings or interceptors.

I really hope they have worked out the supply chain but getting your ships the first week of release is not a sign they have solved it. Let's see in 3/4 weeks how much product is floating around to declare a victory on the supply chain.
Stupily fast on the empire side. Not so much for the E-wing. Headhunters will do well though. That's my two cents.
I think the zs with go quickly with the idea of people running 4-8 in a game, or 12 in an epic match, for only 144 points. It's stupid how many uses the Z95s will have.
From the LGS I have spoken too, orders were shorted as usual but not too bad. Some online retailers are already showing out of stock.
The FLGS closest to my house got 12 of each ship in. By the end of the day Tuesday, there were 0 Z-95s, 3 E-Wings, and 5 each of the Phantom and Defender.
edit:
My FLGS orders direct from FFG and received his exact order. The owner says that the distributors are shorting orders.

Interesting. Does your local scene simply play more on the rebel side?
At the Imdaar Alpha tournaments I attended, there was much more interest in the Imperial ships, despite there being somewhat more rebel-dominant players. I expected interest in the Phantom and Defender to be higher.

Interest and demand are two very different things. I would expect the Z-95 to sell out first as you need more then just a couple as apposed to the others. Most of the players on here are picking up many more Z's then either of the Imperial ships. With advance Sensors (a very popular upgrade) included in the E-Wing expansion this will help sell more of these ships. The Phantom and Defender will just get picked up in lesser quantity then the other 2.

I would agree that the interest is higher in the Imperial ships. I would say that the Houston, TX area, in general, has an even mix between the two factions, but my store skews slightly towards the Rebellion. I personally bought 3 Z-95s and a Defender. I already had an E-Wing, Z-95, and a Phantom from either Imdaar Alpha tournaments or store credit from another tournament.

That's a good point.
I plan on picking up a couple of Zs if they have any left at the FGS tonight, even though I play Imperial. Though, I expect that I'll find that they've already sold out.
I just don't have that much personal interest in the Phantom and the Defender (or the E-Wing). It's a theme thing for me.
Edited by Mikael HasselsteinA store near me had wave 4 at $10 tell tuesday, was pleasantly surprised when they said on tuesday they would go to the normal price of $12.99. I went and picked up the remaining ships I wanted from the wave and now know of a new store with great prices!

I can verify that they are shorting orders. Alliance and Southern Hobby were both unable to fill the product quantity that my FLGS had ordered.
If you're anything like UltimateZing, stores will run out in no time.
