Dream Blossoms, 3 or 4 star?

By appleb, in UFS General Discussion

Someone pointed out to me that Dream Blossoms in not in block 3 due to the fact it only has the 3 star shuriken. It's in set SNK03, but every other card in SNK03 is a 4 star shuriken. Is Dream Blossoms misprinted, and should it be block 3 legal?

It's a misprint; it's block 3-legal, and should be treated as if it has a 4-star shuriken.

I've heard that it should be played as printed, and hence illegal in the current block rotation.

That said, I honestly don't know why you would play it even if it were legal.

Yeah, that's how it's been ruled - since it doesn't havethe 4-point, it's not legal.

I've yet to hear anything to the contrary =/

Nobody's ever said it was a misprint or that it should have a 4 point shuriken.

Play it as printed, meaning not at all.

Most people are missing the point:

It isn't GOOD enough to even warrant play! XD

So did you just completely make this up?

I did, and with help from a little something called logic. Something tells me they wouldn't print an entire set, and then purposefully print 1 card without the 4-star shuriken. Even if the reason was because the card was too powerful in comparison to the rest (which is a shoddy reason), there are certainly more problematic cards in that set...

So then since the darkstalkers base set and fight for future have a whole bunch of cards with a standard block (3) watermark, we should assume that all the card from those sets were ment to have the watermark for standard block (3) which means that (by your logic) I can go and start running my favorite cards from those sets since it MUST have been a misprint and they should all have had the standard block (3) watermark.

that's a wee bit different. We all know all of set 8 was supposed to have the 4 point shuriken, and set 7 was printed with the intent of only having the 3-star shuriken with the exception of selected cards.

In what universe does logic and UFS go together? Seriously?

Just taking the mickey, don't get up in arms or anything. Unimportant stuff is unimportant.
