I don't want to post the store name but I've been trying to get Regionals info for over a month now from a store listing they are the location. When I called they said they had no info yet. When I went to the store (was traveling and in the area) I was told to come back later. When I told them I lived a bit of a ways a way they said to check the website in a few weeks. Today I checked and there is still no info. The event isn't even listed on their store's calendar for the date FFG has it listed, however several other events are.
Again, I'm not posting this to try and be negative against this particular store- it is scheduled for nearly a month away and maybe this is just the way they do things. But we are trying to make travel plans,etc and need to know what is going on. One of the small group wanting to go has to give work very early notice. I know we are a smaller store/events but when we do any type of tournament we have all the info available for at least a month so people can plan for it....I figured Regionals would be planned even further ahead because people have to travel far to participate. And I'm all for being patient but all we need is "what time it starts, how do we register, and what is the cost".
Has anyone else had a problem like this? If so how did you solve it? If the store isn't helpful what else can we do? I just emailed them for a second time and plan to call again later in the week.
