I LOVE FFG AND I LOVE STAR WARS X-WING!

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

My daughter and I were just getting into a grand furball, when the wife has to go and point out little details like dinner and bedtimes and baths needing to be taken. As if she couldn't see the valuable bonding we were smack in the middle of.

one of the best games I've ever played in all my life !!

X-Wing is just wonderful !!! Easy, cheap, intuitive and funny !!

and absolutely the best customer service in the world !!

Now - if only there were Ice Cream Wing.

Fantasy Flavor Games....

Went to Imdaar Alpha, played five games, lost five games, only destroyed 3 ships all day, I DON'T CARE, I LOVE THIS GAME!

Gentlemen, this is what the game is all about. I will strive to obtain the same level of nirvana, though I hope never to need it :-)

The top tables might win more prizes, but the bottom tables have MORE FUN! ;)

I've sat my share of times at "the kiddies/losers" tables, and lately I've also had the chance to sit at "the big boys" tables; and as you remark. the prices/loot might be better at the latter tables, but the mood/banter/´humor and laissez faire/care free attitude is WAY more fun at the former. Also; way more space sounds ;-)

Mommy bear can be a bit unreasonable on topics like that.

@Forensicus

I have played many games at all levels. I will ceede you the spaceship sounds but the level of fun and satisfaction is purely subjective. Some like to dabble, others like to master. Neither is wrong, but neither is inferior and no one should be looking down the nose of their fighter at the other guys. Only take the shots that use red dice.

I am not disputing that there is fun and much learning happening at both ends of the spectra, and I am not striving to lose just to end at the non-winning end. But the overall feel is, unsurprisingly, more casual at the lower end of the tier.

That was just the point I wanted to convey

You know I might have ran my big mouth off here a few times about list postings once to often. It rubs me wrong because of the 40K Marine-jerks that I used to have to deal with as a game store manager, way back in the day. There is more to enjoy here than the help me win, win, win talk.

I think I have been a bit off the mark with that view, because here on this forum and a few others I see 90% of the active members behaving like friends... most of the time.

I would like to see less fuss and more fun of course, on all of the game forums, but it is okay to have a debate once in a while.

The fact is most of us here love Star Wars and this wonderful game, and it does not matter a **** how we play with our toys, as long as we treat each other properly.

:)

I can get behind that sentiment.

Ditto!

:)

X-Wing got me to stop playing 40k and wasting my money on the overpriced crap that GW puts out. If that doesn't scream win to me then nothing does.

Oh you won that one. I quite in 2000, and until last year when I got my first X-Wing goodies from Amazon, I had been out of miniatures.

...WIN!
