We just had a game last night..and our iron broken...wanted to use his ancestor card, a saga With a purple die on the card...however should that be +1 difficulty (like combat) or only the 1 diff the card says??

I made a Quick ruling in favor of the PC, since it is not against an opponent skill/stat..

Have i missed a paragraph somewhere...

If it is just a skill test, you just use the difficulty on the card (unless you as GM feel like adding extra dice)

If it is vs Defense you start with 1 Challenge dice and the add any listed on the card.

If it is vs opponent Skill you start with the opposed skill check difficulty then add any listed on the card.

So, if it just said to test a skill, you did it right.
