SWLCG Player Archetypes

By MarthWMaster, in Star Wars: The Card Game

I doubt this will catch on, but I tried coming up with appropriate alternatives to the AGoT player archetypes. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome and much encouraged. Anyway, here you go!

Ned, the Flavor Fan → Luke (wanderlust, yearns for adventure)

Shagga, the Innovator → Boba (loves pulling off nasty tricks and combos)

Jaime, the Competitive Player → Vader (ruthless, does whatever it takes to destroy the competition)

Just my two cents.

I know Ketricel came up with a similar list last year but I don't think he ever published it. His was more based on the MTG list and had Vader, Tarkin, Yoda and one other, Han I think.

Yoda was the Vorhos, Nedly basically.

Vader was basically same as yours.

Wait, does this mean I'm a Vader?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Search your feelings: you will know it to be true.

I used to be very Vaderish in Magic, even though I was and am a terrible player. Since I've started SW and LotR, I've become a Luke. I just enjoy the flavor of the IP and how it's reflected in the cards.

I still want to get better, though. I keep my red lightsaber in my sock drawer, just in case.

To my mind, Star Wars has always been about the trinity of Luke, Leia, and Han. I'd go with Luke as Ned, Han as shagga, and Leia as Jaime. Leia is the biggest stretch, but I'm thinking new hope kickass Leia, so it works for me!

From now on, Leia's deck does exactly what she says.

No playmat is worth this!
