Curious about some unidentified tokens

By Gibarian, in X-Wing

My friend has some tokens I've never seen before, and I'm wondering which expansion they come from. He has the memory of a small baboon, so despite buying all his X-Wing products within the past 3 weeks he can't remember where they came from.

Actually, that's insulting to small baboons. I apologize.

Anyway, they appear to me to be "damage" tokens. They have a fiery explosion graphic on them, and are numbered, so it looks like they're meant to follow alongside a ship like a critical token to remind players of how much hull damage it has taken without having to look at the cards laid out on the sideboard.

I thought they might be from the Firespray, since that's the only non-small fighter he has, but I googled the Firespray expansion contents and nothing in the list sounds like what I saw.

Double sided? A 1 on one side and a 2 on the back? That sounds like damage tokens from imperial aces used to track damage on the facilities in the scenario.

Imperial Aces. Check the missions booklet, I believe they're for a "prototype" style mission.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks.

I'm sort of disappointed they're only 1's and 2's, since I like the idea of on-table damage-tracking tokens.

You could sub in a D6 for tokens and then just rotate that based on the damage taken
