Moving to Seattle area

By PJSkittles, in X-Wing Organized Play

I am moving from Portland, OR to Seattle (closer to Bothell) and was wondering if there are any groups playing around there?

I think Capital Hill has one?

Welcome! There's good news and bad news:

The good news is that there is a fairly extensive player community up here.

The bad news is that it operates on stealth mode. There's no one blanket page or group that covers all the local activity, but there is a Facebook group, "Pacific Northwest X-Wing Gamers" which is sort of active.

There are a number of scheduled games available out there. A not-exclusive list

'Round the Table game Pub in Lynnwood, Thursdays at 7

Wandering Havoc Games in Marysville, Wednesdays at 4

Gameshire in Everett, Tuesdays at 7

Avalon Comics and Games in Silverdale, Wednesdays at 6 (My group)

Game Matrix in Tacoma, Fridays at 7

Gamma Ray Games/Raygun Lounge in Seattle (Capitol Hill), Sundays at noon

Game Gurus in Seattle (Greenwood) Wednesdays at 5

Sweet thank you for the list! I'll be living between Lynnwood and Mill Creek, so it looks like I'll be at Round the Table thursday nights lol.

RtT has a lot of newer players and a good regular crowd. There's usually anywhere between 4-6 people there on a given Thursday night.

Plus, they have draft beer and ice cream.

Hope to be at Round the Table this Thursday. It says 7pm, but you can show up early. I usually show up 5:30-6.

Game On! at South Hill mall is trying to start up as well on Sundays, if they get up enough interest into the game at least. Roadside Hobbies (my local) in Spanaway does an open play on Wednesday nights at about 6, and we do a series on Saturdays. Neither of these are particularly close to you, but we do some fun events that you may be interested in attending every once in a while. We just got done doing a tournament for a Tantive and plan on doing a transport tournament August 11th I believe. Also I know Fantasium in Federal Way does some OP and open play but I'm not sure what days they do it.

Anyways! Welcome to the area.

Can someone please confirm or deny whether Uncle's Games in Bellevue has X-Wing meetups?

According to the store calendar, they have meetups on Tuesdays. However, I have asked a couple people about that IRL, and have gotten conflicting answers. One person told me that there is hardly anyone meeting there, but another person told me that there are 10-12 players there.

I think Capital Hill has one?

I think it's at RayGun Games. Has anyone been there? How many people are there usually who play X-Wing?

I actually recently moved over to wallingford and while Card Kingdom is closer, the time I went on their supposed night(Thursday), had no players. So I'm looking for more details as well.

See is Dixie's BBQ is still open and you have to visit www.afktavern.com/

There are gamers all up and through to Bellingham and back so you shouldn't have a problem finding people or starting a regular tournament yourself.

Also, look at the Tacoma thread below, that will be close to you (relatively speaking)

In case anyone is wondering, the answer is no.

I can confirm, that there were people at CK this past thursday. I'll be trying to make it down there as a regular thing.
