Fel's Wrath vs Corran Horn

By Sergovan, in X-Wing Rules Questions

This came up in a previous thread topic but I could not locate it, but I got a response from Frank.

Hello Sergovan,

In response to your question:

Rule Question:

Fel's Wrath's pilot ability states that he does not get removed from play until the end of the combat phase.

With Corran Horn able to take an attack at the starts of the end phase, does this mean Fel would stay in play until the end of the next turn's combat phase?

Yes. Fel’s Wrath would not be removed until the end of the next combat phase.

Thanks for asking,

So Fel could be destroyed during the end phase and would select a new maneuver, go through another round of activation and attacks, and then be removed at the end of that combat phase.

Weee,

That makes him 50% more useful in a special unique scenario and about 0.00% more desirable in a list overall.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm just here to find answers to those weird rule interactions, no matter how "wee" inspiring lol :P

... You don't realize you are already dead, don't you?

This imagery. I really want to see it happen in game.

Soontir Fel to His Wrath

"Dude Eject. Half your cockpit is slagged and your engines don't work."

"I can hold it."

Holds it together.

Boom.

Zombie Ship.

It follows the rules but makes for one hell of a weird story explanation, doesn't it.

I dunno, seems to work fine to me. There are plenty of stories of heroic pilots keeping their planes together for just a bit longer to accomplish something. The fact that he frantically manages to keep his engines from overloading due to the damage, or nurse the ship through one more turn and attack before the damage makes the wings fall off, doesn't seem any stranger when it lasts for a turn rather than half a combat phase.

Like I said then: You may have actually found a real use for Fel's Wrath. It still may not be a "good" use of points but it is something that no one else in the game could do.

Who's Fel's Wrath?

;)
