So I'm very new to this. I'm going to run a campaign with 3 people all of which have chosen there races but one has decided he wants to be skakoan. Now I've checked the Unofficial Species Menagerie – Version 3.0 and there's nothing there.

I need help stat wise etc. I don't know where to begin.

How about you have them choose a race from the official books or the USM and call it a day? You are already creating a whole universe for them to play in, the least they can do it make your job easier by using one of the gazillion of races already statted up. (Unless you REALLY want to make a whole new race). I told my players to pick something that was in one of those few sources and left it at that. Nobody has complained yet.

I'm going to say:

All stats at 2 except for intellect of 3 and presence of 1; logical but xenophobic

Go with the gand lung variety feature. Start play with skakoan pressure suit - Enc 4, soak 0. Pressure fittings can be added to armour purchased at character creation, but takes one hardppoint and increases encumberance by two.

Begin play with one rank of vigilance; they are always concerned with their own survival.
