I can report that the B&N at the Grove (in Los Angeles) isn't clearance-ing them out and was told that they just had a reset (?) which committed them to supporting the line (at least for awhile longer). But they then went on to say that they are at the world-famous Grove after all and if it were a matter of some stores dropping the line, this store wouldn't be involved.

But they did have an Imp Aces with an Intercepter sporting a detached wing that I was able to get for 50% off after asking for a price adjustment. I figured a bit of gluing shouldn't be too difficult.

After speaking with ShakeZoola72 I decided to hit up some of the stores in SoCal today and here is what I found!

1 Core Set

1 Shuttle

1 Y-Wing

1 A-Wing

1 B-Wing

2 Tie Fighters

The two stores I went to (the one in Fullerton and in Irvine on Barranca) were holding the clearance. When I left Irvine still had 1 Core Set along with some YT-1300s, Slave 1s, Shuttles, X-Wings, Tie Fighters and Tie Advances. The Fullerton store only had YT-1300s, Slave 1s and Shuttles.

Apparently the store in nirth east minneapolis had theirs at 50% off. It was cleaned out pretty quick. No other reports of any of the other metro stores on sale.

The one I know of in MN was the Uptown one, and one of the local guys bought it all out, and posted anything he wasn't keeping up on the Twin Cities X-Wing group for others.

I am beginning to think these sales are more clearing old stock, then them getting out of X wing in total. Perhaps with the ramp up in release they had too much back stock and wanted to clear stock in the back out for holding more of the new stuff ?

Well, there is still the other thread talking about Barnes and Nobles canceling their wave 4 pre-order, and wave disappearing from their website.

Pre-order for Rebel Aces is up with a release date of July 28th. There's no listing for wave 4, or 5 for that matter, and what they do have online is missing the X, Y, A and TIE/I from what I can tell.

After scrambling to order someplace else once Barnes & Nobles cancelled my Wave 4 pre-order. I wouldn't pre-order Rebel Aces from them.

Also, I checked with my local Barnes store and not only did they not know anything about X-Wing going on clearance, but they had just restocked all wave 1-3 and the transport. And even though it wasn't in the system they expected in a few weeks to carrying Wave 4.

Called the Costa Messa, Marina Pacifica, Long Beach Town Center, Orange shops (all in CA) for them ether to have full stock no clearence or no ships at all. Fullerton is now down to only a clearence Falcon or atleast that was when i called.

Not on sale near where I live.

Check Rowland hights...I was in there on wed and they had a ton left...probably still some left...figures a gal,on would be left at Fullerton...there was no falcon when I was there on wed...

None of the Kansas City metro stores have red dotted their X-Wing stuff. While I was searching I managed to have a bit of a confrontation with the Independence, MO store manager too. She tried to tell me the Tie Advanced always comes with it's wings broken off when I asked her if she'd discount it for being broken. I wouldn't have cared if she just said they don't discount broken items (which she claimed AFTER I pointed out that it wasn't supposed to come with pieces broken off), but I don't like people trying to deceive me.

Now that's just low. Trying to deceive customers into buying broken products is terrible.

Maybe she was broken, and she didn't want the products her store was selling to feel the same loneliness and rejection she feels.
