Hello!

Now that I have your attention, please let me introduce myself as a fairly recent X-Wing Miniatures convert, FFG forum lurker and slightly less recent Sci Fi gaming blogger...

I just wrote a post about a purely hypothetical (that is made up, unofficial, etc.) Wave 6 expansion pack based on the ships and characters of the X-Wing Alliance computer game and I'd love to have feedback on it...

I'd certainly love to see a YT-2000 to finish up the YT line for the rebels; they only have 2 large ships to the Empire's 3. I was a huge fan of XWA as a kid and recently tried to pick it back up, but without a flight stick...ergh. It's rough.

Here's hoping Otana makes it into the game. Maybe the Outrider/Decimator are only half of wave 5 (since every other wave has had 4 ships...)

Call me a cynic, but after the 1300 and 2400 I'm ready for a new rebel large ship that doesn't try to re-invent lots of hull, a turret, and some gimic to make it new. I mean, there was other big ships in the rebel alliance other than corellian freighters.

Would rather see something that tries to take large ships in a new direction myself.

I haven't lost hope yet that they'll eventually make the Rogue Shadow. A large ship with cloaking would be the perfect reason to scale the HP way back.

I started playing X-Wing again, and looking forward to reliving TIE Fighter. I was in the same situation you were in. And then I found this a great Logitech joystick at BestBuy for only $20! Works without issue on Windows 7 x64.

As a huge fan of X-Wing: Alliance, I approve wholeheartedly of this idea...

I wouldn't call the chance of getting a third 1300 or 2400 to likely either... Doesn't prevent me of dreaming. That and I'll probably grab the shapeways one ;-)

I guess that depends on your definition of "nothing": personnaly I love a good post (not that mine is, I just try my best) that get my imagination running!

I'll try to think about a couple of Azzameen against Imperials mission to start.

There is a not-Cloakshape on Shapeways, by the way... But no Razor that I know of.

There's one of those on Shapeways too, but more expensive that what I'm willing to pay!

Its just too similar to two ships we have. I have fond memories of piloting that ship, but unless they are planning +50 ships, I don't see them adding it.

As for another large Rebel ship, I would like to see them add the Lady Luck or as its called the Personal Luxury Yacht 3000. Its got two named pilots you can immediately use, ones been already used but I don't think people would mind. Mara Jade might be tricky though, as she's already an Imperial only card. But you duplicate named pilots against each other all the time, so its not a big deal. Also the tricky thing is its length, its 50m long and not very wide. Maybe it can have a rectangular base. Anyway, just wishing.

Wait a second... you really thought he had information on Wave 6???? Now, at a time when we just saw our first spoiler of Wave 5 last week... and Wave 4 still isn't even in stores.... you honestly thought he had information about wave 6?!

I heard somewhere that wave 6 will have ewok hangliders, jawa rockets, and swoop bikes.

Convert Power card. Since it's directly from X-Wing: Alliance, it should have one of the core elements of X-Wing from it.

I'd make Ace PS 7, so he has the same skill as Maarek and Keyan.

Thumbs up on that suggestion, I'll amend. I also need to do a title for the Otana, but struggling to think of any specific rule it could have..
