Phantom Pains list

Just whipped up a list after reading the new article on the phantom.

Probably not very competetive but could be fun.

Echo is going to be primarily defensive and Whisper offensive.

I think you could be better off with Advanced Sensors on both Phantoms. FCS may be great for pouring damage into the same ship turn after turn but when you're cloaking/decloaking all the time it may be harder for Whisper to keep the target in his sights; I actually think Echo has a far better chance of keeping a target in his sights turn after turn. And looking at the Sensor Jammer it may seem like a great idea but if I'm shooting a Phantom and have a Focus token spending it to get a good hit probably isn't going to be a question; even here I think it would do better on the other ship if used because Echo should be the master of arc dodging and what good does changing hits to eyes when you're never shot at.

I would drop FCS and Jammer and up your alpha to a PTL Saber. One more hyper mobile hitter can't be bad.

I really hope the phantom breaks the " gotta have a big ship" if you only run three ships. In fact I hope the phantom and defender shred the no mod vanilla lists in favor of broken fluff.

I hope so too. I always feel like more upgrades and more named pilots are much more exciting and fun. It's a shame nameless upgradeless pilots are so effective.

I find Whisper suffers compared to Echo because he cant bend his decloaks. FCS was made for Echo. I think the advanced sensory array is where its at for Whisper. The ability to barrel roll before or after decloaking all the while prior to your revealed manuever is very powerful. Not as necessary on Echo thanks to the bends, but very powerful on Whisper. It also makes Whisper the second fastest ship in the game, only thing faster is a Falcon/Firespray with an Engine Upgrade.

Here is a list that might be barrels of fun.

Its dodgey, its fast, its will move last and shoot first, and it will take really big cajones to fly. When I get my second Phantom its the first list I will try. :)
