No.
No.
From now on it shall be known as "Overbumlliding" which actually sounds like something no one would want to see.....ever!
Learn to flow with it or you will become a cranky old person well before your time.

That ship flew a long, long time ago...
Bump,bump,bump, bumpa bump, bumpa bump
SPACE HUG!!!!!
im pretty sure that they are also not throwing dice in the cockpits, but are shooting and doing crazy moves. Is that also how you call defending/attacking? throwing crazy moves ? If not, than I guess you should be able to live with bump as well, because that is what the physical models are doing.
I'll stop saying bump because it is inaccurate when my opponent stops saying 'ship' or 'Tie' and instead says 'plastic scaled down facsimile of movie prop'
I kinda wanna know where this guy plays X-wing at so I can show up and see how many times I can say "Bump" before he loses it.
I want to overlap uglies with his sister.
Too much?
I don't agree with you very often, but I think this is allowable.
Edited by JCDisarayI just want to say 'Looks like I'm going to Space Bear Hug you there' in a game and then make a motion to do it....
You know, I know this one guy, bumps all the time. We call him the great white bump, the bump in the night, Mr Bump and bumps a lot boyz.
I think what I'm saying is, I'd rather say bump then overlap, as long as the opponent knows what I mean, which has been every time, it's all good. Sometimes when you touch, the honesty, it is just too much. So I try and keep my bumps casual, you all feeling me ?
How about some best bump stories ?
Bump not Overlap here in OZ
everything word or name here gets shortened or replaced by a small word
eg.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground
then
The M.C.G
now
The G
If a word can't be shortened it gets an o on the end
Bumpo anyone
Edited by X Wing NutI'm going to start calling it "booping" because it sounds funnier.
Also, I dislike the term "grammar Nazi" because it is, itself, incorrect usage (so-called grammar Nazis usually try to correct word choice and spelling, neither of which are grammatical issues). I personally describe myself as a "semiotic pedant".
Edited by Two_HandsI like how you're totally cool with the Nazi part, because associating someone with a group best known for their genocidal endeavors isn't nearly as bad as confusing grammar with spelling, right?

Nah, I actually take issue with the Nazi part too, it's just a longer argument so less suited to a forum post.
Oh, and while the hyperbolic use of "Nazi" to denote excessive authoritarianism might be offensive, it isn't technically incorrect

I'm not sure if the time it takes you to convince people that being associated with Nazis is bad, or the fact that it results in an argument is more worrisome...

I think you may have misunderstood what I meant- it's not convincing people that being associated with Nazis is bad (that's rather the point), the difficult part is convincing people that it is so offensive that they shouldn't use the term.

If they can't wrap their heads around that, I don't know that arguments about grammar vs spelling/word choice would be much easier...

<shrug> plenty of people describe themselves as grammar Nazis, so presumably they a) don't consider the term overly offensive and b) are very concerned about word choice
I space bear hugged the hell out if Corran horn last night with Chewie controlling the board and allowing Garven to fly back down and get a shot off before dying. FTW.
*bump*
Aha,
Mwahahahahaha!
*ahem*
Heh.
What if they are space nazis and they are space bear hugging everyone on the board?
Space bear Nazis, we don't need their scum.
What if they're space bar nazzis? They take people's space bars away, you have to use underscores for everything
