Hello everyone , new to the game and looking for some clarification

so if I execute a red manoeuvre and receive a stress , id get a focus token

But the stress stops me using the focus token ( pg 17 ) so seems redundant

im obviously missing something ( again very new to the game ) .

Using a token is not an action. You may use Stress/Evade tokens when stressed. You may not perform Evade/Focus actions (to get the token) when stressed.

Spending the tokens is never blocked by anything, save for certain pilot abilities like Carnor Jax or Dark Curse.

I found someone else with this misconception at my Imdaar event. He thought recon specialist meant you use a focus token twice, not take 2 when you take the action.
