Out of curiosity, how did he start with a 4 and a 5? That's 230 xp at character gen and last I checked droids only got 175 which would afford a 2 and a 5 and really terrible skill and talent allocation. Even with additional obligation for xp, unless I've been reading it wrong, he's maxed at 185 which is 5 shy of a 3 and a 5. Or did he garner enough xp to start with two 4's (180xp) and already pick up dedication(75xp if you straight shot assassin or gadgeteer) in time for Long arm of the Hutt?
Help with OP character.
Funny, this was the first thing I thought of:
And yes, yes - I know that Daleks are robots. However, sounds like this guy has all the personality and depth and character development as one. Hell, he doesn't even have the toilet plunger that the other Daleks has for the most rudimentary manipulations.
But yes, just talk the guy first. Before unleashing the in-game sanctions and GM retribution, pull him aside and just talk first. Tell him your concerns, and that you want what is best for the entire game. Try and get on the same page and come up with a build that matches what you need to have happen in the game and what still fits his character concepts.
And if he doesn't budge - THEN unleash hell. . . .
Edited by DesslokMy GM has been using the published adventures and some of the old Traveler ones. There is combat but there is a ton going on that isn't combat and that is usually taking longer and more discussion. I would think just being a gun with a name and legs/trax etc would be a pretty boring character to play the majority of the time anyway.
Well if he plays D&D (4e especially) then its very possible he thinks combat is the point, and all the other stuff going on is just the window dressing.

Hmm. If he doesn't budge, you should write up new stats and skills etc for the droid, then have a slicer hack him and upload a new program into his processor and hand him his new character. "Oh, you were a combat droid? Now you're a medic. And the Imperials are after you. And you don't remember why. How sad."
On second thought, maybe that's a bit too harsh, but it would still be funny(ish).

To be pedantic, Daleks are not robots -- they're cyborgs. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalek
That said, I'm playing a droid in my current campaign, and I am actively working on the personality. So far, it's more Kryten (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kryten ) than Bender (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bender_%28Futurama%29 ), but I'm still working on it.

Goddamnit! There was suppose to be a "not" in-between "Daleks" and "are". Stupid brain! Type what I want you to say.
Believe me, I know the difference. Here's the photo proof:

Hmm. I don't see any Celery on the lapel. And the hair doesn't appear to be blond. Are you sure you're a true Whovian?
Seriously, that's a pretty good costume. Peter Davison was always my favourite Doctor of the original seven. I never did see the Paul McGann story, although I did see flashbacks during the Day of the Doctor series.
Of course, now my favourite is David Tennant. Among other things, he was the first actor to play that character who was himself a Doctor Who fan when he was a kid, so he truly understood what it meant.
[ Edit: Correct the name of Paul McGann ]
