For those who are interested, the Clan Invasion just went live at MechWarrior Online. If you've been pining for a good sim with a lot of depth, and don't feel like waiting around for Star Citizen, consider taking a giant robot for a spin. It's a blast.

You build your own ship and fly it into battle. It is fun for what it is.
Hence the reason I labelled it OT. We're all gamers here of one variety or another, and there's a fair number of people who relive their space sim glory days vicariously through X-Wing. MWO scratches a similar itch, for those who aren't afraid to try new things.

Tried MWO back when I was looking for a Mech game, preferred Hawken.
Hawken isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it's more like Quake compared to old school Rainbow 6.
