Wave 5 : a few more certitudes on the names

By Lanyssa Ryssyll, in X-Wing

Good work, let's see when it revels how many names you get correct, greettings.

Did we ever figure out what the info card is on the VT in between the Ion and Bomb Token cards?

Well that's disappointing.

I was hoping it had something to do with the new debris tokens, or anything new, really.

Excellent work Lanyssa!

Thanks guys, I'm glad a lot of you like it (and thanks Ica', see you soon) !

"At the start of the combat phase, you may discard this card to increase your agility value by X until the end of the phase. Then, you may remove one red target lock from your ship."

I was thinking the same, as it seems what Counter Measures do in reality. The only thing I'll change is "until the end of the round" as we can see "round" on the english card.

For the dial, I think french graphists did a mistake, because I'm pretty sure the picture is the same (it's not 2 differents pictures), just used some Photoshop there to insert the text cards I guess. Because it's exactly the same position, etc... I wonder how they did that if not with special tools !

No it's not the case for german, i speak both languages and only in french and other romanic languages, adjectives and other descriptives are often placed after the noun.

For example:

E: Proton Torpedo

G: Protonentorpedo

F: Torpille à protons

It's all Proto-Indo-European to me.

Also it came up in the "main" Wave 5 thread (in case people here don't wanna read that one) the speculation is that Imperial only card in the VT is probably Ruthlessness as an EPT, the logic behind it being that all other EPTs are nouns or verbs not adjectives.

That being said my hunch is that it gives you a bonus shooting at a ship with no shields or one with damage cards, (could be face up only or any damage card) nothing to base that on other than pure gut reaction to the name

In french, I'm sure it's "Impitoyable", as the noun "Impitoyabilité" isn't a used word. But it was the same on "Elusiveness", in french it's "Insaisissable", which is the adjective.

So perhaps you're right, I'm gonna change my first post !
