An unpopular opinion

Just a question about the maneuver dial between the Outrider and Falcon. Should we really be comparing the Falcon and Outrider or shouldn't we compare the YT1300 and the YT2400? Just wondering because there is just the one Falcon, a heavily modified YT1300, and the YT2400 was supposed to be CEC's latest model freighter and it was supposed to be an improvement over the base model YT1300.

What's the difference between the Falcon dial and the YT-1300 dial?

Technically, you could be comparing the YT-2400 dial to the Milennium Falcon dial, as those are the names under which they are released.

The Falcon to the Outrider. It's acceptable for the generics to fly better than they should. It is not acceptable to have the Iconic ships underperforming because the generics use the same dial.

Good point here.

But the Outrider is just as heavily modified, from what I understand, as the Falcon.

Well, I hope personally that Dash pays at a minimum 1 point for his ability. That would mean the PS 2 pilot costs 30, which means I could run a BlockORS, StressORS, and an Ion boat (PS 2 with IC) all in a squad.

I don't necessarily disagree. Its just that the legendary speed of the Falcon has more to do with its hyperdrive so its hard to represent in game and most game iterations of the Falcon don't have it being the most maneuverable hunk of junk in the galaxy. I was a little perturbed at first because the Falcon didn't have a straight 5 (you could easily show this with an engine upgrade) but I quickly got over it. I guess its just a matter of how you look at it. I'm just satisfied by the Falcon being represented by its better (way better) stats over the ORS. I just looked at it as if the dial was the base YT1300 dial and you start modifying it to be Falcon by taking the named pilots and upgrades.

I'd honestly be happy is the YT2400 doesn't have the same straight line speed but it's more maneuverable with all of the hard turns available to it. Maybe make the straight 4 red and make the 1 and 2 banks green to make the HLC a little harder to use and make people think a bit more?

My quess would be every 1-3 speed maneuver with one K-turn at speed 4. Greens might be 1/2 straight and 1 banks. A 5 K-turn in a large base would be nuts and really hard to use.

The faster the K-turn the easier it is to use. Especially with Heavy lasers. It might actually be worth K-turning a Turret ship at that speed.
