Sorry for the question, but I cannot find any answers.

I want to know the rule for using cover. Does it give defense to the defender, does it give a setback dice to the attacker ?

If it gives defense, does it stack even if the rule say you cannot stack defense ?

It provides a static ranged defence rating that does not stack with armour.

Have a read of the 2nd question on the first page and 1st paragraph on the third page.

Cover is covered in the core rulebook on page 213. Gaining 1 ranged defense gives the attacker a setback die. The rules suggest 1 is normally good enough, although two might be warranted if the target has a great amount of cover (pillbox or trench.)
