Queston about Bol’Goreth

By XeroxColorCopy, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Is the Bol' Goreth from the Trollfens expansion the same at the Bol' Goreth the Lieutenant Pack? If not what are differences?

Thanks in Advance.

No, they are not.

the lieutenant has "rampage"

the agent has instead "surge : poison AND disease" and lost 1 life point (23 to 22 in act 2)

Maybe because the pack hasn't in it the "weaken" condition, they do the change. Personnaly, i'm really disapointed, and the agent one is really weaker and lost what make him usefull. But you can do as I do : use the lieutenant card instead, ignoring the traits.

I think the main reason some of the "Agent" versions of the Lieutenants (IE, the ones found in the Lieutenant packs) are different (even if slightly) than the "real" versions found in the expansions directly is that the "real" ones tend to appear in sort of "Boss Mode" format to some degree or another, whereas Agents can appear at any time, theoretically. As such, I think they were tweaked to be more "mini-boss" mode in those quests.

I agree, though Alric is arguably more powerful with "Overrun" vs "Overpower" (might test no longer required.) Otherwise, I think he's identical- unless you're referring specifically to the "mini-campaign" lieutenants, who I agree are featured as "bosses."

Another major difference is that the Agents / Lieutenant Packs are expected to be able to be used without access to the original expansion they came from, causing any features not included in the base game to be removed/replaced.

It still makes me sad that Valyndra doesn't burn things.

Some agents are better, the more explicit example is Splig, who is really impresive with his new act 2 ability.
