You could go with 11 Tie Fighters and Howlrunner. Fly down the side, turn and repeat IF needed. He has no Agi dice and re-enforce really won't help much. You are almost certain to put 14 hits into him first pass at R2. If he uses energy to replenish shields he isn't shooting you.
"Distress Signal Incoming. Orders, Sir?" - CR-90 vs Empire 150pts
The CR-90 is not as robust as it looks. If it gets a lot of attention it'll go down quick.
After flying the CR-90 a couple of times I discovered two primary problems it faces:
1, it doesn't have enough actions/energy for everything it wants to do. The most you can get out of a move is 3 energy which can be allocated to the guns or spend on special functions. It also only has one action. When things get pretty bad for the CR-90 that player is going to want to try the recovery action to dump energy to pump the shields back up. That'll leave the guns dry.
2, firing arcs are really restrictive. Whatever the main gun shoots at it's going to get an agility boost, and it's useless against enemy targets at range 1. Quad lasers can help this out but only in the secondary firing cones on broadsides of the ship. So there's a deadzone in the front of the CR-90, and also in the back since the primary can't fire beyond the blue line.
So, the CR-90 is very much a support ship and it will struggle against lone attackers. It's like pitting a single large ship against the points equivalent number of small ships... the extra attacks WILL chew up the bigger ship.
I agree 100% with this...Tibanna gas is a must have.

Against the CR and in EPIC I have found groups that big are more of a hindrance then benefit. Though in the case against a single Vette (150pts) probably wouldn't matter much.
You start running into problems with that many ships in the area, I have found it is actually good to run 2-3 groups and split your focus (depending on the enemy). You can literally do fly bys the support ships hit them, next turn hit the Vette, next turn or 2 tail vette. Your other squads will come in and cover your tail discouraging support ship kturns to follow you.
After a few turns of combat you will have a few ships on the vette tail with nothing it can do about it and their support pretty banged up if not eliminated. Depending on the guns and luck of the vette, your renaming 2 squads can be in various stages of health.
If you have imperial aces, I recommend Saber Squadron w/ opportunist. At 25pts each, you can run 2 as a flank element while having basically any 100pt squadron as your frontal assault. Since huge ships can never have focus or evade tokens, Opportunist gives your interceptors 4 & 5 dice attack at his aft section if you can sneak them in behind.
I have played some of the scenarios with the CR-90 it just cant kill agility 3 ships without ramming them. Don't take shuttles though the turbolasers will just tear them a new one (but then you can get 5 OGPs for one corvette, and they have much more firepower and hp than a corvette). I scored 8 damage on one shuttle in a single turn, but you just can't touch agility 3.
I find the CR-90 horrendously overpriced. Sorry to say it but it's really just okayish in the scenarios because it gets free equipment. And even then it's useless most of the time.
If i was to play epic, i would rather play empire and play only Tie Advanceds than take a Corvette. It just can not ever be worth its points, there is no way you could ever equip it that it would be remotely competitive in standard epic.
So basically play whatever you want, it can't beat you. The dangerous part about the CR-90 are the escorts and the ramming. Sadly, you can't get enough escorts because it's too expensive and ramming only works on noobs!
It's quite frustrating. It's the most awesome model i have ever seen but they must have been really not playtesting the ship before releasing it... No other explanation that would occur to me.
The Rebel Transport is really a nice epic addition but the Corvette iscjust for looks.
I suggest captain Jonus w/ swarm tactics or wingman and captain Yorr and 3 omicrons w/ advanced sensors then put 4 HLCs I ran a very similar list it's deadly and with AS and Yorr you can stay stationary for 3 rounds and should cripple a section round
It was interesting to roll 5 green dice for a shuttle

And Ramming doesn' only work on Noobs. It breaks formations early and easily because they cannot afford to mess up and get crushed. That psychological factor is huge.
The Transport is just a whole lot cheaper, and can hang at range 3 in the back while it acts.
Among other things, always pair dutch with the Cr-90. Then it can make best use of Dodonna's pride.
