Developing List: Shadow Daggers

By Russw, in X-Wing

Hi All,

Well I have an upcoming tournament at the end of the month and would like some feedback on my list that I am considering using:

List One:

Ibtisam (28) / (38 total)

Push the Limit (3)

Sensor Jammer (4)

Stealth Device (3)

Dagger Squadron Pilot (24) / (31 total)

Sensor Jammer (4)

Stealth Device (3)

Dagger Squadron Pilot (24) / (31 total)

Sensor Jammer (4)

Stealth Device (3)

Any feedback on the above would be great, including modifications and changes ect.

Stealth Device isnt a great option.

Youre only getting 2 defence Dice, those will be knocked off really quick though i see what youre going for. Im not sure that going Defensive with B's is the right way to go though.

Not a good list. The sensor jammer + stealth combo isn't terrible with Ibtisam + elusiveness since you can cut down incoming damage even more and re-roll one of your dice, but on generic b-wings it's just not effective. All your opponent has to do is spend the focus they're probably willing to spend on offense anyway and they're very likely to hit you and remove the stealth device. So that's 7 points that are giving you very little when they could be invested in HLCs. And even on Ibtism it's not that great without a way to deny actions (and you have no blockers) or draw fire away (Biggs, Wedge, etc) and get her into endgame where she only has to worry about fire from a single enemy ship.

Thanks for the quick swift replies. What would you suggest to better this list? The other option I was considering was one with an Outer Rim Smuggler or just going with high PS pilots in X-Wings.

Our group is dominated by higher PS, Swarm, HSF and even a dual/triple firespray list.

Cheers

Id try it first! Maybe it'll surprise you. If the SD prevents 2 or more damage on each ship, it is worth morw than Hull upgrade.

My list suggestion for Sensor Jammer B Wings is:

2 x Blue + Sensor Jammer

2 x Blue + Fire Control System

I like Sensor Jammer solely for forcing opponents to spend their focus actions, so your followup shots are more likely to hit. For that reason, I like Sensor Jammer best on low PS ships.
