Imperial HUGE Ships...I'm Calling It.
The Vigil-class Star Corvette is bigger then the Gozanti and the Raider, they decided that for tabletop size there were no ships of suitable size for their game, and thus the Raider was created instead.

These ships are doable in the same way that FFG did the Alliance Huge ships.
What do you all think?
(I know the Raider is sexy, but I don't understand why FFG invented a new design in a universe of existing ships...)
It's all about size on the table top.
Raider dimensions: 13 inches long/ 330mm by 5 inches/ 125mm.
Real lenght is supposedly 150 mtr.
Vigil dimensions would be: (based on http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Vigil-class_corvette // http://galactic-voyage.com/Dark%20Side-Capital%20Ships-Vigil-class%20Corvette.htm )
The Vigil class is supposedly 255 mtrs in length in real, so that makes it substantially bigger.

Is 20+ inches for a ship in this game not to big? the makers of xwing think so.
They changed the scale for huge ships anyway, they have other ships not in scale as well and the raider is not in scale either.
Speaking of scale, are they even in scale to each other? It is a silly thought, but with a supposed length of 150m it should be a good deal longer than the CR90 …
I think it is more a matter of what they can fit into an 18 inch long box...

I have to get a second gozanti. That way when wave 9 gets here i can come rolling in with one loaded with 4 TAPs and another with 4 TIE/sfs. Gonna be great.

It really is awesome... it looks so cool on the game table too. I get why a lot (okay most) Wingers do not play EPIC much... but they sure are missing out on some great fun!

I agree... I do not love most of these fan-things that get made.
